Anonymous 7/9/04 . chapter 1 Oh, this is wonderful. You write poor doomed Boromir very well indeed, and Heth is lovely as always! |
HalandLeg4ever 3/4/04 . chapter 1I was reading a bunch of fanfiction on , and I think I read a story about Faramir... I was then reminded of CMC, which I had read a while ago, and absolutely loved. So I actually reread it, and then I went to see if you had written the sequel yet. And I found this story! I loved it! Any interaction between Faramir and Heth is something I'd like to read about, and it even includes Boromir (who on occasion I like to read about) and his love for his brother. In all, this story is great. CMC is great, and I am anxiously awaiting anything new from you. Keep up the good work. |
Mith'xerra the Demon Queen 2/26/04 . chapter 1 All I've got to say about your stories is... WOW, I love them all! The style of writing is great and how you make the stories up so that they are intertwined is even more awesome. In fact I used to think up my own stories just to amuse myself, but then projects and things started taking up my time and I stopped. But reading your fanfics made me realize just how much I used to enjoy doing that kinda stuff; so, I decided to start up again and registered myself on only to find out that they want original stories to be placed on ! Talk about major OOPS! Teehee, now all I have to do is find a way to unregister myself from ( which I have no clue how to do, lol)and go to their sister site and register myself there. *sigh* Anyways (now that I've declined to the Dumb Blonde status) I'd like to say again how much I love your Hethlin fics. I almost squealed when i heard that you actually were going to do a sequel, so good luck on it! |
Soledad 2/22/04 . chapter 1See what you have done? You have made me cry again! What a beautiful story! You write Boromir so well, I love your take on him. And Hethlin was great as always. |
Lady Wenham 2/21/04 . chapter 1 That gave me the shivers...in a very good way. :) Congrats on a very well-written story. I will, with your permission, archive it with your other stories at A'mael Taren. Please let me know if this is not all right. Again, wonderful story! |
Zurizip 2/16/04 . chapter 1 You know its bad when you get the actual book mixed up with the fanfic. Ok, so that means its good. Are we EVER going to find out who gets Heth? Or are you going to make me go through college first? (which is a full four years) |
elen 2/12/04 . chapter 1 OMG - thanks so much for the Boromir/Hethlin fic - loved it - missed Heth so much... |
daw the minstrel 2/12/04 . chapter 1I loved the use of visions and portents in this. Tolkien's world always had that bit of magic that it's easy to overlook when we write "realistic" fiction. Boromir is a sad and sympathetic figure here. |
Lady Berenice 2/11/04 . chapter 1You've been missed in your too-long absence! Welcome back - and may I say that this wonderful little piece, a PWP with plenty of plot (if that makes sense) certainly makes the wait worthwhile. |
anonymous 2/10/04 . chapter 1 This was a wonderful segment in the life of Boromir. The idea that he gave up his own knife to protect his brother was a beautiful way of showing Boromir's love for Faramir. The eerie feel of the setting you created with Boromir on the trail was a good contrast to the comfort he gains from his vision. Thanks for posting. |
Laurene 2/10/04 . chapter 1I thought this was a terrific story, well written and interesting. Enjoyed it very much. |
Eledhwen 2/10/04 . chapter 1Ah, excellent. I think you captured down-to-earth Boromir, unnerved by his dreams, very well. And it's nice to see Hethlin from the outside, as it were. |
bardess 2/10/04 . chapter 1 You have characterization and family traits very well thought out and quite consistent. I do, however, have a hard time believing that Boromir is a somewhat inept outdoorsman. you are filling in a long saga with some very interesting details. |
Cornelia 2/10/04 . chapter 1 You always find a way to surprise me! I was expecting the next chapter to "Blackbow" or "Ultimatums", and what have I got? A new Boromir story! Boromir the dreamer, thats really something new. And Hethlins knife - I never thought about it as something special, perhaps I missed it in "Captain my Captain". Great, as usual! And Hethlins remark about "this Turin fellow" - exactly what I have been thinking about the Turin story in the Silmarillion, when I read it for the first time... |
Sprite Figwit's Fangirl 2/10/04 . chapter 1Aw... *Hugs Boromir in comforting mannar* You... must... write... MORE! |
