Dangerous. ^^ Funfun for us readers, no fun for Ryou and Bakura. *** head* I really like how you keep giving us readers new perspectives on your NR characters, esp. Ryou/Kawari. He has so many angles and hidden characteristics that's it's nice to see a time when he's a bit more open. And well, I can't help but think Freud and how "the past affects the future" or some other physiological junk like that. Anyway, nice to see the kinder side of Ryou/Kawari -- the part that got pretty squashed. ^^ Hmm, on Serenity. raises eyebrow Certainly an opposite. If this is going to be her personality in the NR trilogy, why the heck is she hiding in England (or wherever) instead of joining the Opposition? Hmm, wonder what weapon she'd use? ^^ OOh, poison. And I wonder what the other NR Serenity is like? Super sappy and gushy? shrugs well, it depends on your view of TR Serneity. See, in the US anime she acts more mature, but in the Japanese anime she acts more like a little kid. The Traitor? Great Leader of the Dark? Little Light bastard? ^^ I like those names. So...paradoxial. (O.o Is that a word?) And of course, the fight. Well, major difference between here and Kawari's expertise in NC, eh? "I think that you'd find that the two harshest teachers in the world are survival and hungar. I've had both, and trust me thay make a difference." Yep, survival or die. Honed to perfection. *** head* You've emphasized "instinct," but in NC he keeps his head and can look around for other things while fighting. shrugs Oh well, I suppose after instinct the head comes back on. ^^ Mwhee, and now Ryou's gonna get a glove! O.o Dunno why that interests me... And of course, aftershock. Nice there. Definitely shows Ryou's past soft side. The side he was supposed to be before mad-Yami. ^^ Liked the micro-mini philosophy lesson too. *** head* I know that I've read that before somewhere... Hm, so that's another reason for STL and NC. Well, now Kawari's definitely a warrior. Don't know if he still mourns b/c now he's like steel himself. *** head* Well, after NC is over, the realms should be (somewhat) balanced... but does that mean that Kawari goes back to happy Light mode? O.O Hope not. Hmm, perhaps the reason for part three... Oh! i just wanna say that Kawari is definitely an inspiration. ^^ Right now in gym we're doing rock climing and just when I thought I should give up b/c my arms were killing me (they still do) I thought "Kawari wouldn't give up" and that gave me the strengh to get to the top! ^^ Translation: Well, I don't take Latin, but hey! I have the internet! O.o Well, I could only find a dictionary, but hey, here's my guess: Attack Life For First Time. From "capio", "vita" and "primitus." Or it could mean Taking a Life In the Beginning. O.o I really don't know, I don't take latin, so obviously my grammar is bad. Ah well. looks up So much for being short. ^^;; waves Ja ne!

silvermuse89 2004-02-12 ch 1,	abuseThis is so well-written and angsty. I feel so sorry for Kawari, especially since he is more vulnerable than in Negative Chaos. I can't figure out what the title means, but that's probably because I don't take Latin. I also noticed that the street Kawari passes is Koyfu Avenue. Isn't that the street Kawari and Kaeru are stuvk in, in the opening to the contest fanfic? Well, I really enjoy your one-shots about the Negative Realm, because I think they add more depth to the NR characters. PS- Please update Negative Chaos soon^_^

As for the name, not being a latin student I haven't the foggiest, the last part i'm assuming has something to do with first, because it looks similar to the word for first in spanish. I know the 2 languages are different...but they're close...i'm rambling. Good fic! TTFN Katia-chan
Quintessence 2004-02-10 ch 1,	abuseLet's see... capere is an infinitive and vitam and primam are accusative, so the title translates to "To take (the) first life", I believe. Hey, all those Latin classes actually have a point! Ahh, poor Ryou, he needs a hug... but I doubt he'd appreciate that, so I'll leave the comforting to his yami. The story was lovely, as usual, though the patrol leader's speech seemed a bit melodramatic. Then again, someone who'd agree to work for a violent, egotistically, mentally unstable tyrant might be prone to that sort of thing... I like NR Serenity's personality. It's a nice contrast from her True Realm self. Out of curiosity, what language was Gin Hebi named in? And speaking of Gin Hebi, slipping in an explanation for Ryou's glove was a nice touch.
