This is so sad... and the worst part is that this happens to the environment of Earth every day... but without the Pokémon, of course. The feelings and memories portrayed were perfect, and the general atmosphere of the fic just couldn't be better. You could do a sequel, showing the baby Machop's feelings to growing up in an environment being destroyed... if you feel like it.
