Found you! Also, wow. You made me like Cho. J.K. Rowling couldn't make me like Cho. Consider my world officially rocked.

Oh, and I love the coping mechanism of listing all the faults of the deceased. In particular, "He always said 'eck-cetera.'"

Alright, I'm done online-stalking your fanfic alter-ego... for now.

I've read this before but not reviewed it. It seems silly now - it's brilliantly written, and deserves far more reveiws than it has. I don't entirely agree with your characterization of Cho, but even if she's not *my* Cho, she's still well developed. Poetic, succinct, complete. Great job.

What a lovely, lyrical little fic; it's a damned shame things didn't play out this way in Order of the Phoenix. Cho desperately needed Harry to do something to help her deal with her grief, and really I think he needed it too, to help with his own feelings of guilt, if only he could have seen it. That he should choose throwing a Quidditch match, and that she would see through it and be furious at him, rings very true. It calls to mind a crucial line in Lois McMaster Bujold's A Civil Campaign (the best novel in one of the best science fiction series ever published -- if you've never read Bujold's Miles Vorkosigan novels, I envy you, because you can start reading them for the first time and all I can do is re-read and hope for another installment): "Victories can't be gifts." (Miles tried to do something similar for his lady love to what Harry is trying to do for Cho by letting her take the Snitch, and he almost loses her because of it.)

I really like the idea that, good a boyfriend as he was (as the "Imagining Backward" segment makes clear), he never quite took Cho seriously as an opponent on the Quidditch pitch; that also rings true to me, somehow, and I might just borrow it for the next fic in my own Harry/Cho alternate universe.* The idea of a virginal Cho imagining that (good) sex might feel something like Seeking was a nice touch, as well.

Wow... Really great fic... So touching, so beautiful, so real... It really gave Cho a backstory, and a very real voice.

I just...LOVED this. I can't say I've read a better Cho-fic that is post-OotP (or ever). Every other author seems to either make her out to be some **/**/human hosepipe/unoriginal variation. But your Cho is so alive! I can hear her voice, I can hear her thinking these thoughts. She is at once honest, sincere, heart-breaking, modest, compassionate, and hilarious! That bit where her little sister wrote her a letter telling her to count sheep so she won't have bad dreams? That was superb and heart-breaking. I actually started tearing up, and I can't think of the last fanfic that has gotten that response from me. Plus, the tidbit about Cedric seeing her as 51% girl and 49% Seeker! Brilliant. For some reason, as fair as Cedric was portrayed in canon, I always think that he couldn't have escaped all of his father's prejudices/attitudes toward the Way Things Should Be. I really wish this would have happened in canon and that Harry and Cho could have ended up being friends. I am re-reading this again immediately!

Well done on writing a fair, believable Cho Chang. I enjoyed her philosophical musings, and the letter from her little sister was just like the ones my flatmate used to get from hers. The style is excellent, and I thought the conversation with Harry was perfect. You were careful not to give too much away about what else was going on, which is good. I particularly liked their realisation that Cedric wasn't perfect, just because he'd died. Beautiful and sensitive portrayal of grief.

This was a great characterisation of Cho. It reads a bit like diary entries. It's really Ironic how they somehow ended up clearing the air between them in theend. I'm thinking lots of stuff is figuratively dissected here. Great imagery, somewhat like a film at times.

To be honest, at first I didn't quite get it, then after a moment or two, it kinda clicked, and I thought "Wow that was amazing!" It was deep and... is powerful the right word? But either way, you are a very talented author and this fic is fantastic!

Wow, this is amazing. I love your work. I've never even liked Cho all that much in the books, and your story made me feel for her. Now I feel terrible for not liking her before. "Don't you think that's the definition of Grief? Absence of flight, I mean. Everyone can fly, more or less: it's the landing that breaks our hearts." This line tear-jerkingly beautiful.
