this really is a good story so far...i'm actually on chapter five and not one...hehe... i just hope i see more seto/jou pairing within this story! DON'T DISAPPOINT ME!

Lovely, a sweet twist of an ending on a story that in and of itself doesn't strike as fluff. An overlooked gem, this. It has a very settled air, and though it stirs the dust a little with the attacks it feels very much like the set up for its sequel. Wonderful writing, and nice in characterness, considering the domesticity of relationship with Joey and Kaiba. It feels real.

Great job, I can't wait for the follow-up.

Sweet! Can't say I'm not sad that's it's done, but now I know I have more to look forward to, well, I guess--I'll be, y'know, looking forward to it. Um.

They are fantastically in character, down to Mai not beign intimidated, Joey being able to a. guess what's wrong from five thousand miles away (or whatever) and b. make it all better, Mokuba being--well, 15. And still Mokuba. And Seto--well, thanks for not screwing over my favorite work-obsessed, challenge-obsessed, puppy-obsessed...okay, just *obsessed* character. He's real without being extreme to any specific personality facet (and with Seto, that is an *extremely* good thing). I await the sequel, prequel, and side story with interest!

Great, still. Joey and Kaiba fighting--because they have to, a little. I mean, that's just part of who they *are*--Mokuba's guilt over--what? sex? Or because he knows that something is up with Seto and he's aware on some level he's been acting like an idiot? Probably both.

Fantastic. I can't wait to read the end.

Ah, normality. Normal Mokuba (of course, in the series, I'd have to say Tristan probably beats him out for normality...there *is* that whole obssessed-with-Big-Brother thing, but he's generally pretty stable), and finally a realistic Joey/Kaiba relationship as well--granted, one that's had some years to get that normal, but you know what I mean. No beatings, no twisted **-buddy relationships, no uber!angst. Real. I like it.

So far, I'm as impressed by this story as I am by all your others (which I don't think I reviewed, but I thought they were fantastic and have most of them in my favs), especially because it is mostly Seto-centric, and god knows it's HARD to get that enigma down right. You've done it simply and well, though, and I'm well and truly impressed. Also jealous. Bah, humbug ^_^. And this last bit--the conversation between Seto and Joey? It's so realistic and reminds me so much of my own long distance relationships (I'm the entire Atlantic away from my entire family right now) that it's almost personal. The relief that almost hurts. You certainly got that dead on.

Good writing. I especially liked how you explored the Kaiba brothers' relationship - as Mokuba goes through the rebellious teenager stage and Kaiba tries to balance being both a brother and parent.

I loved the epilogue especially. It's one thing being able to write 'dangerous' situations but quite another to pull off the relatively normal day-to-day interactions. The Joey-Seto-Mokuba interactions at the end were perfectly in keeping with the rest of the fic.

I agree with Seto. This Daisuke is bad for Mokuba. I liked him before but now he's starting to creep me out.
And Honda and Ryou? So sweet, so lighthearted amongst all the angst. It was refreshing and made the contrast with the other stories seem all the more potent.
