CalliopeMused 2009-11-20 . chapter 4I just re-read this story, and it remains as hopeful and wonderful. Rowling did seem to enjoy making all politicians the Bad Folk, with the few exceptions of the politicians that had been invited to join the very-shadowed Order. I love the transformation of Percy from misled disgruntled government employee to happily subverting (Fudge, at least) government employee moving up in the world. |
brigrove 2009-11-03 . chapter 5nice story and I like your statement about people working in government. Having been involved in politics at a local level myself, I agree that MOST people involved in both government and politics are dedicated to working for the people.
Sadly, some of those who reach the top, are not. |
Taigh 2009-06-13 . chapter 5A very thought-provoking depiction of Percy and the Ministry - I like him even more now :) |
restinpace 2009-04-30 . chapter 5I actually read this story around three years ago. I found it again and started reading and I'm like "this is familiar." Anyway, 'tis very good. An interesting take. |
Cynthia1850 2009-04-07 . chapter 5That was a wonderful story. And a big AMEN to your statement at the end. |

L.A.H.H. 2008-12-14 . chapter 5Don't worry, I'm completely in agreement with you, and I'm glad you wrote this story to defend that POV. It was really interesting and well written. I loved Percy's redemption. Thanks for writing it! x |
CalliopeMused 2008-09-25 . chapter 5I wish the government had worked like this in the story. There were several things in the series that still bother me (I want a clear condemnation of child abuse/neglect, even without consequences for the Dursleys, I wanted a chance for Remus and Harry to end on good terms, and I'll concede my dislike for Slytherin=EVIL just because of Narcissa Malfoy)...
This fixes several. Sirius is exonerated, Fudge isn't the sole representation of people in power (Fudge the paranoid and Scrimgeour the smarmy, what a lovely pair), Percy has the chance for a full redemption, and it's all written brilliantly besides.
(Also--patriots don't wear flag pins to show they're patriotic. They do something to make the country better.) |
Locked in a Stony Tower 2008-08-19 . chapter 5this was a really good story...i loved when the twins tackled Percy...hehe... |
 Cap'n Stella 2008-05-17 . chapter 1Congrats on a truly great fic! |
CSnow 2008-02-28 . chapter 5Great story! I'm glad Percy had a hand in the clearing of Sirius's name in the end. Loved the scene where the Weasley twins lead the forgiving of Percy... with Ron bringing up the rear with a ferret patronus! That image is going to stay with me for a while. |
 foxee-chik 2008-01-11 . chapter 5wow! i liked it! |
Ponytail Goddess 2007-12-09 . chapter 5Great fic! I especially like the part where Percy saves Harry; he was very brave.

Shadow Cat17 2007-11-13 . chapter 5Wow!! This is an awesome story! Extremely well written, and well thought out. Percy was always my favorite character, aside from Ron, and I was so glad that he was able to redeem himself in the 7th book. |
