You know, I must have read thousands of these fanfics and I can't remember a single one of them with such a clear insight into Sam Braun. He is such an important character, that this continually surprised me as I was reading this. Well done. I mean it.
Good that Sara was the one to put the brakes on with Grissom. As such an independent woman I could see that, but but also how such a horrific crime could compel her to see Grissom that night.
Another good story. Keep it up.

It must be said. Burked, you are a genius. Another wonderful, addicting story. The casefile is fascinating, a brilliant use of backstory, friendships and relationships, and of course the excellent resolution to the GSR. Every character from Grissom down to Sam Braun is perfectly drawn and exactly they should be ... you have the amazing talent that truly brings them to life in our imagination. You're too good to stay in this little corner of the world but I keep thanking my lucky stars that you continue to write and delight us with stories like this!

Burke your writing is an addiction like few others. Everything you write is so well done and so powerful that I feel I should be paying you to read these stories. You and Mossley need to be writing for CSI. Sure it would be G/S heavy but hey...there would be no complaints from me. :) I can't say enough how good this story is...keep them coming. And thank you...I think I would rather read your fic's than any novel I own in my house.

wow. I mean, wow. This is one of the best fics I've read recently. Your dialogue and characterisation was flawless; the pacing was spot on. Though was it wrong that I loved Sam? I never liked him on the show, but the way you write him, he's a fantastic character. Maybe I just have a thing for guys who'll do anything for their daughters. Congrats, you made a cold blooded murderer a sympathetic and understandable character. That's a mark of a great writer.
Usually I like to include some constructive criticism in a review, but it isn't easy with this piece. Although in the final Catherine/Braun scene, Cath refers to Paonessa as 'dude' which doesn't seem like a word she would use, especially about a hired killer. Yes, I'm being picky. By writing such a fantastic fic, you leave me no choice. Great work and I hope you're gonna be writing more soon.

I really love your stories. Everytime I see your name as the author I know I'm in for a treat. Maybe because you write about my favorite couple--Griss and Sara. Keep up the good work.
