Some further thoughts. I really do not beleive that Harry could have lasted 10 years on his own without going completely and utterly insane. Indeed i am in one half of a long distance relationship and at one point last year we were on holiday apart for most of august and didnt talk. By the time she got home after 3 weeks without talking I had almost gone catonic. And I really dont think Harry would need any effort to summon up the feeling of Ginny's arm on his shoulder. During the time apart last summer I regularly hallucinated her kisses on my lips. It still doesn't detract from the brilliance of the story though.

Wow. That was the scariest thing I have ever considered. The sense of dread I feel for poor harry.

Wow. This is so very intense. I enjoyed it immensely. The ending feels like the ending of H.G. Wells' _The Time Machine_, when the inventor goes so far forward he comes to the end of the world.

Wow...that was amazing! I love it, and it's soo deep! I didn't really think that the prophey meant Harry could live forever though. I don't see how it could say that, but obviously you do, and I think that's a wonderful way to interpret it. Your fic is wonderful. I would add it to my favorites list if it wasn't already full! that has to be one of the saddest things i ever read. i almost cried during that story. you portrayed Harry's feelings very well-his grief and his need for something, even if that something was insanity. and i liked your depiction of the prophecy. great story-i hope to read more like it.
