I love reading fanfiction, but I find as I get older, it's harder to find people on that can actually write /well/. Then I stumbled on your story, and I haven't been able to stop and comment since I started reading it. Then I read that line, and "cantankerous" is one of my favorite words, so I had to stop and congratulate you.

That is f**king fantastic English. As stated above, you make me happy.

The only thing that irked me about this chapter:
"..and he offered her a contented low when he noticed..."
A low what? Haha, you totally missed a word there. XD

i read your story on media miner...and i have to say i am ADDICTED. i love your story, especially the angst at the beginning :D i love totosai in this fic too - he's so nice to rin-chan!
But WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?
I'm writing in the year 2008, and let's see...your last update was...2005? that's three years! ah! i can't stand this anymore!
and by the way, a suggestion - if you're going to use japanese words, please include an english translation - i see that you have for the earlier chappies, but for the later ones, i have NO idea what you're talking about without having to scroll all the way to the bottom, and then trying to find my place again.
Although i like your writing style and all, i would suggest you please either make the chapters shorter, or update more often (like, within a range of a month per update, not a couple years? it loses people's interest when stories are updated once every year or so)

i love this story and i hope you update soon. the relationship between rin and sesshoumaru is amazing and the last two chapters were so good please you have to update soon.

Oh my god. This has to be the best piece of InuYasha fanfiction I've ever read. I absolutely love the idea of Sessh and Rin as a pair and you have managed to capture Sesshomaru so wonderfully. He is very in character and the story is believable. He is so complex and you've captured him perfectly!
