However, it does not live up to expectations; while the first chapters seemed intriguing, the rest was ...doubtfull to say the least. One question - why take some wonderful, 3-dimensional characters and ruin them? Mythical powers, mythical artifacts, strange personal backgrounds - there is no better way to Mary Sue a canon character than by supplying them with those strange and really way-out-of-line powers. I'd recommand watching the miniseries again. It's dark, it's gritty - play around with physical and psychic demands, the strain on everyone, the exhaust and you'll make a wonderfull story. You certainly have the ability, it shows in the way you write. Try to strive for more than this. |
