The plot of the story is amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and your way of writing the scenes is so descriptive and beautiful! Totally loved the bittersweet epilogue! The bittersweet-ness of it made it seem more realistic and original!

That was such a beautiful story. I loved it! I was almost crying at one point.I'm so glad they ended up together in the end, it shows that their love can survive through anything.

WOW! I give you an standing ovation. What a beautiful story. It truly touched my heart and Im glad that Van and Hitomi reunited in the end. Reading your notes, I noticed that you intended the ending to be sad. Well...The way I look at it, it could be either or, depending on the "Fates" (if you get what I mean). I do see the sad side to it, but I prefer the happy. So I guess it all depends on the reader to decide for themselves the meaning behind the ending. As far as Im concerned, I see a figurative meaning behind this that opens the ending of this story to a world of different meanings. I must say...A job very well done. I understand that you might not like to, but one might fantisize the possiblity of a sequel with this open ending. Well...Great story, I never thought of Escaflowne depicted this way (you have quite the imagination). Im sorry for the long review. It was hard to narrow all my thoughts and reflexions into 1 paragraph even as small as this, but for my final statement: I say on a scale of 1 - 10, you deserve a 20...Ciao! ^.^

Several years ago I first stumbled upon your amazing Sailor Moon fanfics (Gemstone is my favorite) on a fanfic archive site. Today, I was thrilled to stumble across you once more and excited that you have also written another masterpiece in another series! A series I've loved since I first saw a blue light transport me to another world, the world of Escaflowne.

I was touched back then with your poignant SM fics, and I'm very glad to say, "kudos, Cosmos, you've done it again ^^ I cried, laughed, and loved!" Fates' was an amazing read, keeping me glued to my monitor until the final sentence...wait, no, I'm still glued, writing this review ::lol::

Since Fates' was last updated (& finished, yay!) in Jan. '05, I hope you receive this review and are encouraged, for that is what you have done for me. I have been encouraged, as I'm sure many others have.

I greatly enjoyed reading this fic. Very well done and planned out. You did great on character creation and story development that just kept people coming back for more.

I don't really think this is too unhappy an ending. With they way the fates, I think its them, are talking there at the very end, it sounds like Van and Hitomi actually break the cycle of fate that they're bound to. That could be seen as a happy ending cause then they don't have to deal with that aspect anymore. Heh, just my take on it. I still really like how you ended it.

I just finished reading up to chapter 21 and I can't believe it took me so long to find this story (started reading it 3 days ago...). It is one of the best I have ever read, and I fell in love with it instantly. You're an amazing writer, and I can't wait for the epilogue. This story almost brought me to tears... of course, I had to withhold them, since my mom was looking at me funny... ^_^
