That's pretty cool, that tie-in to real life.

That is one of the most intricate story I have ever read. I thought long and hard about the question as well... and I have an answer, and I might get millions for it! Berkeley's theory can't be right, because all consciousness' have to have a creation. So if God was the highest, somone would have to have been higher than God to create God. But, obviously, nothing can be higher than something that created everything. So, technically, God would have had to have created himself. Which is impossible because to create a consciousness there needs to be a consciousness that creates it. So, technically, there can be no God. And I'll be getting my millions soon. Hopefully.

"Who made God?" Wouldn't that be us? So God made us, and we made God. Arrgh, so confusing. Nice fic by the way!

This is also covered in a book that slips my mind right now, in which the theory is proved. It had a different version in which we thought up the world (to prove it, just think really hard. Or get lots of hard thinking people.)

Like the other reviewer, I will never look at my Illusionists the same way - ever...again. This is a brilliant piece of work, and I've had thoughts about the same caliber as that - is this world just a piece of my dreams? Is this the Matrix?* And so forth.
This goes straight to my faves as an instant classic. Very nice work.
*Like, ya know, the There Is No Spoon stuff. :D
