You should take small comfort you managed to provoke such strong emotion. This is one of those "Why do I have a feeling I'll read and reread this story despite the fact it's too tragic" types. Wonderful use of the English language, great characterization, madly in love with the whole lack of confessed love and waiting for her smile. Too sad. BTW, go post more BoR. Now! Before I bite ya!
