Some trivia (don't know if you already know it): Millenium Hand and Shrimp (and others) were created when Pratchett fed a random word generator with a badly-translated Chinese menu.

Went to a Chinese place once... (REAL Chinese, not Chinese fast food) and the menu had 'live' pork, fish, duck, frog, etc... Stuff like that. Turned out it actually meant 'fresh', not live. (Thank god.)

...Though they did have tanks full of dying fish in the back... 0.o THAT put me off fish for a while.
