shabd 2007-07-04 . chapter 1I have always been a fan of slightly more philosophical fics, and yours is one of my favorites so far. Since I haven't read the other one, I cannot comment on which one is better, but if the other one is as good as this, then I'm sure I'll love it as well.
As for the slightly negative point in this fic - you made made some very small sentence structuring mistakes. However, if one isn't looking for them, I doubt they would find them either. Other than that, your vocabularly is very nice, and your thoughts are quite deep as well. I particularly liked your ending a lot.
Overall, it's a wonderful fic! =) |
Luana Araceli 2004-05-13 . chapter 1very nice. ^_^ i love your stories. you write so well. |
Kaylyn 2004-03-02 . chapter 1 oh...i liked that. I hope you have a continuation or something. It was good. |
Kimi-sama 2004-03-02 . chapter 1 I actually like this one better than it's companion, mostly because this one is a bit more philosophical and it really seems that you've thought this one out a bit more than Draco's POV. Draco's was more story based and I've always liked the stories that ponder something. There is one part here that you kinda drifted on. Harry tells us what Draco's light is in clear terms. It's his pride, honesty, curiosity etc... But, when Harry get's to himself and begins to explain his darkness he never really says it clearly like he does with Draco. He explains why he's got darkness but never what it is. Is it his anger? His jealousy of Ron's family? What? It's just left you kind of hanging. That's my only bone to pick and I still like this one a lot. I hope you write more stuff. |
 Lyonessheart 2004-03-02 . chapter 1Hello Moondragon,
a nice name I have to say *waves* I just read your stories. And I hope you think again about writing a sequel of sorts, because with the ending lines you left a lot of things in the open.
I hate him because I won't allow myself to love him. But I could never be indifferent to him.
and
Together we will be the most brilliant shade of grey .
Those lines gave me goosebumps, and the feeling that there is something that is left untold. Maybe if you set those stories aside for a bit you can find a way of bringing those two together, to figure out what their place in the war will be. Pretty please? *puppydog eyes*
Your style of writing is very intense, it is really believable that Drao would have such thoughts with his upbringing, and that Harry is aware of the shade of grey has become clear in OOtP I think.
Okay I am now going to look at your other stories.
Hugs and waves

 TheSilverLady 2004-03-02 . chapter 1This is really good! |
Daintress 2004-03-02 . chapter 1Harry has a very mature outlook. Pity Ron and Hermione are still too young to see the shades of gray. You would think they could look at Severus' part in it all and learn from that - heaven knows he's a shade of gray if ever there was one. They should be old enough to see this by the age of 15, I would think. |
