I truly enjoyed this! The idea of the link between Carolyn and the Captain by way of the ring is really quite interesting and very well rendered. I especially enjoyed that last section about the making of the loaf of bread; it was a wonderful way to show Daniel's support of Carolyn in all her endeavors, as well as the love and sharing that such a relationship should ideally foster. A thoroughly enjoyable read -- I do hope we'll see more from you soon :-)

What a sweet story. With a confusing relationship such as Carolyn and the Captain had, you would expect their married life to also be confusing! But it was warm and wonderful. Such a joy to see each of them changing to please the other. Thank you so much for giving us this fun story.
