OH my goodness... *cries* That sad ending...I was and still AM in tears! I was listening to "Do you remember" by Phil Collins at the time when I read everything and how she saw him in the mirror like that and the sobs would not stop! It was SO sad but an EXCELLENT fic at the same time! Oh man you really got my tears going! That is the first time I have absolutely broken down because of a fanfic...man!

And this review probably sounds really strange but it's true I assure you! And I was very relieved to read the happier ending too but I'm still crying! :(

For some reason this cliche, slightly MarySue piece of writing on the internet got to me real bad.

wow i love ending 2 i read both and i almost cried on ending 1 but i choose to believe in #2 because Mort Rainey deserves a happy ending lol great story and i hope you write more about secret window!

I liked the second ending better. It's so adorable!! I loved your whole fic, esspecially ending 2.

From the beginning I was hooked. You did an absolutely amazing job with the characters and the plot.

MUCH better!

Very well written, well thought out. I actually had a flash that Shooter would be gotten rid of through an exorcism or something like that, since I came to the realisation that Shooter's ghost was attached to the hat.

The images of Mort in the window were beautiful, and yes, I cried... I don't usually do that, so pat yourself on the back. ;-)

Having said all this, I hated this ending! LOL Beautifully done, but seriously wrong. He deserves so much more than that. heheh

O.K., so I *like* a little cheese with my psychos. heheh I think it's cute that Mort's nervous about Alex, and scared to death about Shooter, and just wants to be normal. A few giggles take the edge off, I believe.

Anyway, onward and upward! I really should be doing real work, btw... but you snagged me!

very, very, VERY good story. personally, I liked the first ending best -I'm a sucker for a sad ending- but you made the happy ending work too. Congratulations!
