I like this, actually...not a pairing I would have ever considered, but you give Kaede an interesting twist. I never thought about what it must have been like for her, having to grow into her sister's shoes...apparently in more ways than one.

A life of longing finally settled with humble acceptance and peace. And being a wise old heart knowing there is more to life than lust. But love and lust are different. And now I think she can finally move on and love him in her own way that doesn't have to be scathed with desires she knows will not be reciprocated.

This was so different. I've never read anything like this. It was so unique, and the unrequited love, and the past that you give Kaede was perfect. I never really thought about her that much, but you've given me such a new perspective on her. One particular line that stood out was 'She would not wither away and die unkissed. She would not.' This just stayed with me. I read this a while ago actually, but am reviewing now, because I have a chance. But I still remember this line, weeks later. This was truly a completely new InuYasha fanfic, with is hard to find. It seems like everything has been written about, and then I go and find this. I am really impressed. Great story, and you also have a very nice style. It was a pleasure to read.

You know, I sometimes wish Kagome had appeared out of the well a mere twenty or thirty years after Inuyasha's sealing, instead of fifty. That would have made Kaede allot more interesting and usefull. The woman has allot of potencial. (Plus, she was mad kawaii as a kid.)

aw that is a good oneshot! i was sceptical when i saw the pairing but i was willing to give it a shot and it IS very good. i like how u portrayed Kaede and how u made it subtly clear that Inu was focused on Kag and only her even at that early stage in the series, or i think its in the beginning, and how her jelousy went away by a simple roundabout thank you from Inuyasha. everything was subtle but clear in a well written plot. GO U! lol

This is pretty good, a very good development of Kaede I think, one that could stand with what we see in the series. You have done a very good job.
