This is the very first Juuni Kokuki fanfic I've read! Very nice filling in the gap between the time when Rakushun found Youko and her waking up. Rakushun is such an important character throughout the series. His humbleness has turned Youko and Shoukei back from completely going over the edge. Good job writing him.

Juuni Kokuki is a novel series written by Ono Fuyumi. The stunningly beautiful art is done by Yamada Akihiro, which might be why you mistook it as a manga series?

Yay. A Junni Kokki fanfiction, in English, in character, with no Mary Sues. Excuse me while I metaphorically hug you as grateful tears stream down my virtual face. Not to mention that as it seems to be backed up by the canonical works (she takes part of his name! glee!) I love the Youko/Rakushun pairing. It is, after all, the only one that makes sense. (Some of the popular pairings in this fandom make my head spin.)

GeneWeiss loves this anime deeply. It's quite unfortunate that it didn't get the attention it deserves. You have done a good job for Rakushun. Without him, Yoko may become an evil person!

Wow, this was a very nice fic indeed. I'm happy I could find a Twelve Kingdoms story, it seems to be a somewhat popular series on animenfo.com, with high ratings and everything, but not many fictions are out about it. I hope you write more Twelve Kingdoms fics ^__^

It's so exciting to read a fanfic about the Twelve Kingdoms, especially about my favorite character Rakushun! Your fic is very well written, though the change in verb tenses during Rakushun and Youko's first conversation are a bit confusing, and well thought out. I had never really thought about it before, but Rakushun would have had to change forms to carry Youko back to his home. Well, I hope you keep writing more TK fics, especially the Rakushun ones!
