Good story, it was a bit strange when Basil reached the right conclusion at the end. When Basil gets a horrible wrong idea about someone he usually rides to the bitter end.

That was so funny. I espechially loved the 'lick the carpet' bit.

Nice one. Some of the sentences could use a little work, but it's a small matter. Very funny stuff and true to what little I've seen of the show. Cleese's character would indeed go off the deep end like this.
