Well, I guess I'll be the spoil-sport. Personally, I thought your fanfic *stunk* compared to the original "Pamcakes" written by Mike Mignola (the creator of Hellboy). I mean, your writing style is awesome and your word choice and pacing are beautiful, but it'll just never compare to hearing all of the demons screaming, and that beautiful conversation: "What is happening?" "It is the boy. He has eaten the pamcakes." "This is truly our darkest hour." (For those who want to read the original, it's in the trade paperback "Right Hand of Doom" along with a ton of other great stories)

If you want to make it stronger, try adding the deeper themes that Mignola uses. For example, in many old-world superstitions, if you ate food in the fairy world, you were doomed to remain there. Also, see Persephone eating the pomegranate seed and thus being doomed to remain with Hades. Mignola uses that same theme, that since Hellboy has eaten people-food, he is now doomed to remain on Earth.

Oh, and spell the Professor's name "Bruttenholm," please. As the comic says over and over again, "Bruttenholm" is just *pronounced* "Broom."
