Good grammar and syntax is a plus too. My only gripe is the ... how to put this... eh... chunkiness off the paragraphs. Especially concerning the dialogue/speech.
Made it hard to read.

Other than that, this is pure gold. My grade for this fic is A.

This is perhaps the only story I've read on that involved character rape and did the repercussions justice. I was wary to continue, in the early part of the story when it came up - there's so many that use it as a *convenient plot device* - but the story had been so well-crafted to that point that I saw no reason to not give it a shot.

Gah. The story was so good - so strong, and powerful, and full of *life* and fear and love and anger - that I hate you, just a little bit, for twisting up all this emotional response. But, more than that, I am really glad that I was able to find something *real*, even from a work of fantasy based on a comic about gaming.

Or, as they say on the internet, "You win at life."

I have read this story and your other one, Anthem, and I have to say that you wrote wonderfully! You got talent, and I loved this story. It was very emotional, and I couldn't stop reading. It's really one to remember. Keep up the good work!

This chapter was touching in so many ways. The scene where Yami was trying to explain to Yugi why the man had hurt him...I actually shed a tear. It was beautifully written.

The last scene was well, I though...I don't even know. It was brilliant. Well done and keep up the amazing work.

This story was... so beautiful. It took me two days to finish reading the whole thing (mostly because I'm a slow reader), but I really enjoyed it. Your writing is amazing and I found myself reading over certain parts that really gave me chills. There were so many sad moments that made me think about life and just how wonderful it can be. I used to think that life was seemingly pointless, but it has meaning and value even through rough times. Those times are when we seem to glow the most, (hmm that's odd phrasing). Aside from that, I really loved the way you presented this story and the characters' emotions. Just writing for yourself and improving your work is great. This story was very inspirational.
