Juhani is better than Carth. My opinion.

Ahh, the feeling of a prank well executed... nothing else like it.

Once again, an enjoyable installment. While this was mostly straight forward, I particularly liked your decision to bring the entire crew (sans Zaalbar, of course) into the Shadowlands. It gave us the opportunity to see them all react to Jolee (my favorite character in the game), and see him react to all of them. You did a great job weaving him into the team; and I'll admit, I can't remember the scenes well enough to tell what was original and what was from the game. In either case, it worked very well as a narrative, showing a bit more from Jolee's perspective why he took the actions he did.

Other nice touches were Mission's reverance in the Shadowlands, in offering the sacrifice, helping defeat the terentek, and saving Bacca's blade; Juuhani's inner battle as she faced Xor (her Jedi training overcoming her huntress instincts), and finally, my favorite scene: Canderous marking his new clan. He has a great dignity and presence in your stories, and in this one, where he openly acknowledges the new route his life has taken, he really stood out as a deep, complex character.

And as a side note, I very much enjoyed the peppering of Kairi/Carth. Carth's "sting" at the idea of Kairi having a forgotten lover, their near-kiss in the cockpit, how closely they slept in Jolee's cabin, and the touch of jealousy at Kairi's chaste kiss to Canderous' forehead... all nice, subtle touches.

I loved the part when Mission showed Zaalbar that his claws where still clean after the battle! I'm glad that you added interactions between the other characters. A for Juhani's part in the story, I loved it

Canderous' actions in chpt 6 made me raise an eyebrow, but it also moved me.

Great scene with the Tarentatek. I just read the SW Tales comic and it had a story about Guun-Han Saresh and the Great Hunt.

The interaction between Juhani and Canderous is great and I like your writing of the Xor incident.

My first inclination was to disagree with Canderous' behavior at the end. But the characters in the game were left vague enough to add a lot of depth and if I took that view, it would be narrow minded.

Nice intro for Jolee; you spend a lot of time developing his personality, which is good.

I always found that Xor guy creepy and you do a good job making him so.

I really love how you have interaction between all the characters at some point to highlight the differences between everyone.

Carth and Canderous here was well done.

*gets down on both knees and clasps hands together* Please submit book 5? Pretty, pretty please with a cherry on top? Seriously... your adaptation is wonderful and I'm dying to know what comes next. I'm sure plenty of others share my anticipation as well.

As an insatiably curious details person, I read a lot of fanfiction. I love imagining what life is like for characters in a game, movie, novel, etc., beyond the small universe we're given. Anyway, with all my familiarity to fanfiction of various genres, I can safely say that your rendition of the game SWKOTOR is the best I've come across - indeed, it's the best KOTOR fanfiction I've read, period. To be truthful, it's also one of the best pieces I've in general. I love the way you follow the plot of the game but make it your own, and the way you flesh out the characters. I look forward very much to the next update. Keep up the good work.
