I'm so glad you updated!! I've been waiting. I think its interesting how Dani gets mad at all the kids for sneaking out, because they could have gotten in trouble... considering the fact that when she was a new mutant she snuck out numerous times and got in big trouble.

This is a well developed story. I started out reading this business as chewing gum material (just something to do), but now I'm hooked! 6,7, & 8 are completely off the hook. I am really appreciating the "new" characters and events. Probably because I haven't stayed current with the X-Men in quite a while, but I'm guessing that bad writing could ruin anything. Anyways, keep up the good work and don't screw this up for me, I'm really appreciating this story line. Don't have me looking forward to something that starts suckin'!

For full disclosure especially in the light of such a glowing review, I know Anton personally. On the happy side, he's graciously volunteered to provide some editing and polish to the chapters published so far - specificly 6 and 7. He'll also provide final editing on the upcoming chapters to help tighten things up.

Thanks for all the reviews! I especially like it when people tell me stuff that needs work so I can refine my technique. I've got lots more story to tell here and I'm just thrilled that there are people interested enough to keep reading.

To tell the truth ... heading up to chapter 8, the writing seemed to be getting sloppier and sloppier. The story was sucking me in, but the incorrect words were ruining it for me. Working into Chapter 8 was a joy. I think the story flowed very well and the scenes (throughout the story) were very descriptive ... not too much and not too little. The plot was very well developed, I can't wait to see what comes next! I think that if you clean up the previous chapters, to get rid of the spelling distractions, you'll be well on your way to putting out a classy piece of work. Also, once it's cleaned up, it'll be easier to see some places that need modification ... but then, this isn't the final draft yet. On the whole, great job! Great treatment of the characters and the expression of their powers. Also, big kudos for the mind scenes.

Whoa the people in the armstrong family are short! JK! That was a good chapter!! Keep it going.
