so, I am way too tired right now to do any sort of coherent review thing, but I just thought I'd say I really enjoyed this fic, and I hope you do get round to continuing it at somepoint. I'm not normally into Naruto AUs because I think a lot of them miss the point a little (a lot of the characters have backgrounds that are difficult to plausibly replicate, and I miss the shiny ninja powers), but this one is actually really working for me.

This fic is even more interesting than what the friend who reccomended it to me said it was, I'm really enjoying reading this! And that's saying a lot, since I don't usually like AU fanfics... ;)

(okay, I had reviewed previous chapters as Random Person. I've been too lazy to sign in until recently but ah well)

I think it's such a pity that you've lost interest in Naruto. This has to be one of the strangest and fascinating fics I've read yet. It's such a fascinating fusion of supernatural and banal, and the characterizations are all so interesting in themselves. Oh well.

I really like Sakura's portrayal in both this chapter and this fic in general. She puts up appearances but she truly cares for Lee.

I'm also deadly curious about possible interactions between Hinata and Neji, though I guess since you won't be updating in a long while, we won't get much of that, eh? I wish we could get spoilers at least, wah!

This chapter does seem to offer some possible insight into Neji's personality though. I missed it the first time I read the chapter: "If what Neji felt on stage was anything like this... no wonder he could sing like that." Could that be key to Neji's personality? that he is just about dismissive of the world in general, but on stage he is fueled by the emotions of all his listeners, perhaps filling in a hole that he hides otherwise? Or am I completely off?

But the best part of this chapter was the conversation between Naruto and Hinata. It felt... pretty real, not too cheesy or over the top, just a disappointed girl and a guy who's a bit sorry. I found the part about Sasuke in particular incredibly touching. Although you didn't put much dramatics into the descriptions, you can just imagine the raw emotions Naruto must have felt when Sasuke fought the snow just to get him his medication, and it makes you realize that just like every other character in this fic, Sasuke has more sides to him than one would suspect, ones that Sasuke himself might not realize. That too, is an aspect worth further exploring.

I wonder what Hinata's going to do now, besides spending the rest of her days watching movies with Gaara that is, heh. You sure you won't give out some spoilers? (okay, okay, I'll stop now)

You've renewed my love for Hinata with this one. She's shy but still independant; just a perfect balance. Also, making her come from a family of big hair bands...XD
