Reviews for War with the Future
OrionTheHunter 7/4/10 . chapter 5
I decided to go and look at some of your older stories. I'm glad I did, these are good. Thanks for writing.

Nice story! I love reading your work!
FlameThrower81 5/1/08 . chapter 1
This story just doesn't make any sense at all. When people read this, they'll wonder how you've managed to conjure up such a messed up story that just doesn't flow with the 2002 Time Machine film at all. The only thing you've got going is Alexander Hartdegen. And the fact you've crossed this with another film means SUCKISH STUFF!

But Alexander's time machine technically would not have managed to be uncovered for him to use like that again, and even if it were, he would have ended up in New York City which was where he lived if he were to go back in time again.

Also, a lot doesn't add up here, how in the world do you figure that something as dumb as a morlock would build a machine? The Uber-Morlock is dead and can't direct them.

This was a pretty good crossover. Loved the appearance of Hartdegen from the Time Machine movie. Though, I was slightly saddened to hear the fate of Mara of the Eloi. But hey, she died trying to prevent a horrible future from coming to - not a bad way to go if you ask me. I must however admit that I was somewhat surprised to see how easily the LXG were willing to trust Hartdegen, considering he just popped out of nowhere and the fact that they didn’t know anything about him beforehand.

It was nice to see Tom and Mina’s relationship moving along. Though, I’m all for romance - I’ve never been much for mushiness - fortunately there wasn’t much mushiness in this case - which is just fine by me.

One of the things that caught my attention was when the LXG were training; Hyde was temporarily able to in control of Jekyll’s body which enabled him to throw Mina into the wall… I wonder if that is a foreshadowing of a future story where Hyde ends up being the villain.

The fight at the end with the morlocks and the Uber-Morlock was pretty well done. I didn’t really see how the LXG were going to take out that guy - considering they were all suffering from temporary paralysis but then you totally threw me a curve ball by having Skinner kill him - and the reasons why he was able to do so. Ironically enough, the one who was supposed to be the least effective against the Morlocks ended up taking out the big bad itself. It was intriguing to learn that there were more Super-powered individuals more actively involved in fighting off crime in the future. Got me wondering which universe you will be playing with - Marvel, DC, Image, etc. Anyways, all in all, this was an excellent crossover.

I have a crossover of my own in the works. It’s called Six Sharp Claws and a Mister Pointy and it’s a crossover between Marvel, DC, and BTVS. When you get the time, have a go through it (if those particular universes hold your interest) and let me know what you think. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions of how to improve already written chapters will be most appreciated. Take care of yourself Marcus and I will definitely be checking out a few more of your stories.
Obi's Second Cousin 4/17/07 . chapter 3
“You didn’t,” Hartdegen explained. “Hyde dived off the rooftops directly into Piccadilly, surrounded by bats and with two guns waving themselves around on his back, and he chased everyone out just before he tore the roads up and blocked off every possible entrance.”

I love this line. This made me fall over laughing when I read it.

I LOVE your stories about LXG. They are great! I really like the romance between Tom and Mina.
Drakena the Destroyer 7/6/04 . chapter 5
This is quite an interesting piece of work. I have read the stories that the League members came from, except Quatermain, along with the Time Machine, War of the Worlds and Frankenstien, and it's great that you combine all of the literature together. The grammar could use some editing, but the storyline is okay. Mina getting a little carried away with Tom just reminds me of another story where she is carried away with Jekyll and Tom gets jealous. *sniggers as her twisted mind conjures some dirty thoughts of threesomes and love triangles*

Just another thing, no offence, I don't know why you like those sick stories where an OC is paired up with Jekyll or Skinner, I hate those! Those Mary-Sue stories are all the same, annoying women pestering male characters into romance. If Mina chooses Tom as a lover, Skinner and Jekyll don't need OCs to comfort themselves when they have each other. Yes, I like slash, even when others think it's sick. That's my little rant, down with Mary-Sues and up with slash.

I'm enjoying these stories of yours. They're not too long, not too short, but you get some character development, some giggles, some good story in, and a neat little plot. I'm gonna go read another one now :D Keep up the good work!
