Wow... As with all your "A.I." fics, I am very impressed with this one! It's a little different from some of your others which tend to end on a minor chord: this one still has a similar note of darkness flitting in and out through it, but the ending is actually quite upbeat. I love how you expand on ideas and concepts just hinted at or touched upon in the film, particularly the hardships of unlicensed children and the widening gap between the haves and the have nots in the "A.I." universe... although in this case, a character from the haves is able to connect with someone from the have nots and is thus able to help someone who's really down and out.
