Wow! that was so awesome and completely original! I love it! it adds a whole new layer to the story, like why Barbossa named his monkey Jack, and how Barbossa resented that Jack was captain of the Pearl and mutinied him. He mutinied his own son! and it explained why Barbossa looked so shocked and dissapointed when Jack shot him. and *spoiler* it would explain why barbossa came back in DMC to save Jack. That is an awesome story line, so please follow up.

Okay, got that out of my system. Intriguing idea. I suppose the ages are about right...I'd say Jack would likely be in his early thirties, and Barbossa looks at least 50...and that's not counting the years being cursed...so i suppose it's no impossible.

Still...O_o But it's a an extremely original idea. Might be interesting to expand on it.
