XD The part about Glorfindel using big words to annoy the twins reminds me of me.

Poor Estel, he does all he can in order to blend in among the others. I have a feeling that if Elrond find those whose words were overheard by Estel he will give them a lecture and The Eyebrow.

Aww, poor Estel! This is really good, you're great at portraying Aragorn's sadness and all that.

Um... why would Estel cut his own ears? It wasn't the ears that made the elf, it was the eyes that defined whether a person was an Elf or a Man.

And why would the elven children tease Estel about being human, when their own lord also had human blood? Elrond, Elladan and Elrohir were all Half-elven.

Awesome! But you have to pity Estel, i never imagined that Elves would stoop to such as bullying, but I suppose Elven children are as uncontrollable as ours. Would a child like him have really thought about using a blade to change who he was born into someone else? Just a thought.

Aw, poor little kid! It always seems like growing up in Imladris would be wonderful, but I suppose elven children can be as mean as human ones, and being the only human surrounded by these almost supernatural beings would be difficult. Especially with how some elves simply scorn humans anyway, and if they're young they'd likely have less restrain and tact. Thank goodness for Elrond and the Twins. Poor Estel; he should have used scar wax and liquid latex to make himself pointy ears. It's far less painful, trust me--although if your hair gets stuck in it, it can be a real trip to pull them off. Ahem, anyway! Really great job capturing little Estel's hurt, and his ada's reaction was good. The idea of the child actually trying to cut his ears into shape is both terrifying and yet completely understandable. You also managed to not make it too dark--he is, after all, just a child--while still getting across a hint of the horror his father and brothers must have felt at the sight. Nice job!

I really loved the feel of the whole piece, it fit together very well. I would love it if you could write stories of Estel's time in Rivendell, but that's up to you.

Oh so i took time out from writing to do a lil reading and found this little gem... this is a really great piece and i love how you write!!

I like this... it's so cute... it's honesty, and it touches base on alot of things that little kids go through in real life and wraps them into something they can understand, I was tormented terribly in grade school, and know that feeling of heartbreak well... I don't, however, know if Estel is a Tolkien character, or one of yours? I haven't read all of the books yet, but am working on it. :)

I liked this. A good soid ficlet. nothing I could really find wrong with it. Also, a (sort of) happy ending, and apparently no scarring at al (although I wasn't looking for it in the film- maybe that's why "Strider" wore a hood a lot). BTW, I shoudl be back at college soon- I'll say hi when I'm back.
