spazzyrisu 2005-07-17 . chapter 1 So I start reading this fic, and have this weird feeling that I recognized this story. So I get up to the part where the branch actually falls on him, and I realize, I've already read this fic! And I didn't review it before! Well. Here I go now. It was short and sweet and to the point. I like that. There are very few short fics that I actually enjoy. Usually, I only read the 40 chapter, 400 thousand-something word fics. But this one really hit the spot. It was very well written in general. I especially liked you description of how "He could actually feel the broken bones give way slightly under his grip and quickly lowered the elf down again." I actually paused and thought about that the first time I read this, and it gave me the shivers. Same thing with this time. It's amzing how one sentence can strike such a disturbing and accurate chord. Well, good job, and hazzahs all around for an author that does a good short fic. |
SeruleanOrbs 2004-12-11 . chapter 1I like that> I like that last sentence. Through the darkness and trials they will face in the future, they will remain secure in their friendship. Nice. |
Anastasia Who 2004-11-30 . chapter 1This was really sweet. I enjoyed it. Great job at writing it. I love the friendship between Aragorn and Legolas that you wrote in here. I really like your line 'The mask Legolas usually dropped around the ranger ' I like the way you used that to show that they trusted each other so much that they didn't need the mask. But then in the next part you added, 'remained firmly in place and effectively hid his feelings' That added to it, meaning something was bothering him so much that he wasn't even willing to drop that mask for Aragorn. It added to the tension and mystery. Really great job. I enjoyed. |
Gozilla 2004-07-03 . chapter 1Great story! Weel done! Thanks for writing! ^-^ |

White Wolf1 2004-04-10 . chapter 1This is a wonderful story. The plot is simple yet demonstrates the depth of Legolas's and Aragorn's friendship. You have a good way with words, making the events that are happening easy to 'see'. I particularly liked your description of the storm.
I, too, misread what Legolas said about not making it. I think I was as relieved as the ranger, when I realized what Legolas was really talking about. I think Aragorn saying Legolas's life meant more to his mother than the date he planted the tree was a wonderful touch.
I will definitely be reading more of your stories. |

Jeff's favourite skittle 2004-04-08 . chapter 1Beautiful, gorgeous, and extremely moving, struck a chord right at home in the heart.
Wonderful vivid imagery, you could see the pictures unfolding in your mind. Very Tolkienish speech, which I was very approving of, and a wonderful storyline. Reminds me a lot of my Elvish friend and I : ) Fond memories and an amazing story.

Someone Reading 2004-04-07 . chapter 1 Incredible.
The end of this story, the reason for their 'rushing' was not what I expected at all. Very surprising, wonderful.
My breathing nearly stopped when Legolas said he was not going to make it. I thought maybe Aragorn had missed something in his weary state.
Thank you so much for sharing this. :) |
