. . . Clearly you saw more in Akiko than I did when I read these chapters, because I forgot her name while you were inspired to write short, but very evocative pieces of fanfiction about her. Your writing has impressed me for a while, though this is the first serious piece of yours I've read; you were able to make an unknown situation familiar to me, and humanized Akira's mother in a way I've yet to see other authors do (though I've been out of the fandom for a while; maybe they evolved behind my back?). Touching. Very good introspective on Akiko's thoughts, on her future, her husband, her family, herself. It was very original and I loved how she managed to go through with the wedding.
