amazing! this was beautiful! it's really hard to find a good fic these days, and even harder to find a SayoxSano fic. This must be one of the most well-written fics i've wver read! you're an excellent writer!

for a person who hasn't seen the Shimabara arc, you had the details pretty close. this isn't really all that important but, i thought i'd tell you anyway: during the whole arc, sano knew sayo as magadalia, she only revealed her true name to him when she dying in his arms. but, i think sano whould've told megumi that her name was sayo anyway. oh yeah and one more thing: according to the anime, the tales of the meiji is the last arc, the jinchuu, or the revenge arc, is the last arc of the manga, so they really have nothing to do with each other.

i'm a big SS fan and i'm glad i took the time to look for this great fic, keep up the good work!

sweet! i can't say much, i was like, left speechless once again, but the only thing i have to comment/correct is that, when you said something about how his hand was injured reaally bad in his fight with anji, lemme say, i have the episode, and his fight with shishio {remember him, the guy who was shot in the head, burned at the stake, and miraculously survived?} was like... horrible. but anyway, love it love it love it!

m. i like your ending. ^.^ personally i hate sayo, but even without that bias, the way you didn't bash any one character but instead allowed, well, Sano to love both of them in his own way--that's very admirable. IMHO, evidence not just of intelligent writing, but also of a certain personal maturity in you. (or am i reading into this too much? ^.^)
i love that megumi was sensible (and loving) enough to not freak out about the obvious sentimental value of the bandages. that sano called her back with a characteristic half-insult. and that he told her about sayo. m. ^.^ happy ending, thank you very much.
