In chats with friends, I've often remarked that if Sara was a real person, I'd be telling her to move on with her life during the mid seasons of the show. Realistically, this story probably would have been the healthiest thing for Sara to do after S4. If you ever decide to do a follow up on this, I'd love to read it.

When you say Fin, are you telling us there is not going to be a next chapter? Because i think this fic is great, and although you could potentially end it here there is so much left unsaid. Like how the team takes it and where she goes. Please oh please continue with it.

Excellent story, great interaction between Sara and Brass. The way Sara expresses her disappointment in the promotion decision is spot on. You also highlight the development of Brass's character since Season 1 which a lot of people overlook.

very sad story. you got there characters down just perfictly. im not sure if this is a G/S story (god i hope not)but you have written about there 'relationship' so well pleas do a second chapter
and keep the B/S frindship going

Great story. I was hoping to see a TBC at the bottom versus a ~Fin. Hopefully a sequel is in the works? This seemed like a very realistic conversation for Brass and Sara to be having. I love how you handled Sara's drinking here--very realistic for her to deal this way. In fact, you almost have me rooting for her to leave because you clearly show she might just be better off. You have Brass dead on, and I love the shout-out to Sara's time in Boston--Sam Adams, indeed.
