Truthfully, I'm a KK fan. But this story is just too adorable! You wrote this 7 years ago, and I'm only reading it now. Way to go me. Lol anyway I really like this!

Gotta say, I love this fic wayyyy more than that last. It was funny and showed kaoru's giving nature as well as a softer side to Enishi you rarely see. It was also sweeter and more natural. It didn't seem as rushed. And the best thing is that it's great as a one shot-if it was a multi chapter fic then it would have ruined the whole feel. However, you should have breaks (you know, a line or asterix or something) when you're switching from your Author's note to the fic, and when you are switching settings. Like when you went from Enishi having trouble sleeping to when Kaoru was cheering for Yahiko. Just saying.

I have read this story I think at least thrice now and realized that I didn't leave a comment/review. Very rude of me, my apologies. Anyway, I like the story and the pacing is well-laid. I also like the idea that the story flowed without a hint of Kenshin-Kaoru (on a side note, I'm a hardcore KK fan, but I appreciate good team ups as well), some authors usually put Kenshin as diversion of sort. This one stood well with a mere mention at the beginning. Good job. Thanks for sharing this.

I stumbled on the fic by pure luck and what do you know, this ended up being one of my favorite AU's of all time. (I'm an avid fan of well-written AU's) I've been secretly obsessing over EnishiXKaoru since the past week or so and this fic has made me oh so very happy. Ureshi desu. Oh yes!

I ADORE your portrayal of Enishi. I absolutely love how their relationship developped and especially how you describe it. I'm grateful for the fact that you viewed the blossoming relationship in both their perspectives rather than just one. Most writers tend to only focus on Kaoru, much to my dismay but ah well.

This part jumped at me (I couldn't help it):

"He mussed up his hair while he talked and paced about like a caged animal in front of the windows that lined one side of his apartment."

Somehow, picturing Enishi pace around nervously and mussing his hair in the process just for a girl is so very painfully droolworthy... ne? Sorry, it was inevitable for me to mention it. You truly described it perfectly! Thank you for that wonderful Enishi scene emblazoned in my mind!

Also, Kaoru being the pseudo Mother Teresa was amusing and pleasant but you still managed to give her a *flawed* human feel which made her endearing.

I’ve enjoyed your SasukeSakura fanfiction “31 Days Hath December”(I’m sorry I have not yet placed a review for this fic yet, but I will some time later.) and as I was curiously looking for more of your authored stories, I stumbled upon this EnishiKaoru fanfiction.

I have read the manga Rurouni Kenshin several years back – long before the manga is currently being translated by Viz in America, knowing the complete story from the beginning until the end including all of the characters - major and minor, but not once was Enishi being any of my favorite characters nor the thought of pairing Enishi with Kaoru came across my mind.

Your admiration for Enishi and your shipping of EnishiKaoru were things out of the norm in what I had perceived. I want to clarify that I’m not against you. Actually I was intrigued to give it a try. Once I clicked the link to the actual story and read it, boy! I’ve made new discoveries.

Aside from the story plot and narration you crafted, which are, of course, excellent (I’m not majorly concerned with grammar or spelling mistakes if they are kept at minimal. I make mistakes at times too. I can understand.), you have directed me a different angle to look at Enishi. In the past, I had perceived him at surface value – a psychotic villain. True, I had been aware of all those sob stories he had and yada yada, but I had not given a thought about them much. After reading your fiction, I went back to contemplate Enishi’s characterization and now I’m loving him!

The idea and the chemistry between Enishi and Kaoru you displayed in your fiction sparked up the image of a passionate and fulfilling (also amusing) couple in my mind. It was very thrilling and satisfying to read what’s happening between the two. I liked how Watsuki-sensei ended the manga with Kenshin and Kaoru creating a family together. It was pleasant and justifiable. I could not ask for it to differ. However, because of you, I now enjoy shipping EnishiKaoru with fire and passion. KenshinKaoru is nice but EnishiKaoru is much more satisfying.

Because I now like EnishiKaoru so much, I’ll go around finding more stories to enjoy. Perhaps joining a forum/fanlisting/mailing list would be good idea too. Hmm…

In the end I want to congratulate you for writing such an amazing fiction and thank you for giving me an opportunity to (re)discover Enishi and EnishiKaoru.

I love this story, despite being a rabid KenKao fan - it's just that I can't get rid of the feeling that Kenshin's just using her as a substitute for Tomoe. This fic really worked for me, and I love how it's being set in the modern world. Also, Enishi's initial jealousy of Sano was amusing and cute, along with the way he's attracted to Kaoru and vice versa. I must admit I was a little skeptical about how Kaoru acted in the beginning, but that was all resolved as I read further. Truly a masterpiece! _
