Dave, poor Dave. He's been in the middl of this whole mess since the start, and now he has his own problems. He can't handle both.
Then Oliver feels responsible for that, and for making Percy angry, and for being married underage, and for quiddich, and for being selfish when really he's just overwhelmed.
And Percy... Percy is so confused that he hs no idea what direction is up anymore. He thought Oliver was pretending to be his friend, then he thought maybe Oliver loved him once, then he got a whole new brain muddle with Penelope cheating on him, and then Dave had a small outburst that he had no clue was coming.
Just had to type this all for myself. It's late, and my brain isn't digesting properly.

Percy needs a hug and some freaking chocolate. Good gravy.
