Jillie Rose 2004-05-12 . chapter 1Well, a couple things really worry me. One is your geography. Edinburgh is in Scotland. East Scotland, to be precise. London is in South-east England.
So there's a problem right there. YOu would get a boat, incidentally, from Southampton, if you were in England, and you wanted to go to America, as you have to go WEST.
Anyway. You don't Innovate things, you invent them. Innovate is the verb for coming up with new ideas.
The idea for the story is quite good - your basic adventure, a little romance thrown in for good measure...but the repetition of everyone's names, 'Chip, Dale, Monty, Zipper and Gadget' kinda slows you down. Call 'em the Rescue Rangers, or 'the friends' or 'the gang' or something, makes your life easier.
You may also want to work on your dialogue (use commas in your speech) and your descriptions - you're trying to get the plot going, which is good, but you aren't giving your audience very many pictures of what's happening.
Lots of mini-adventures in the plot, which I like. Phew, what a long review. I hope it was useful to you. |
