Well, I'm glad Brock's FINALLY got a girlfriend. Too bad Ash's love triangle still hasn't been resolved. Hey, I don't suppose he could just have both of them, could he?

Now that was a good one. One thing I read about in how to write an exciting story is to put your characters between a Crucible and a Timetable. In 'An Icy Wind Blows' it was Pikachu rushing against time to save Ash before he froze to death. The same thing in this story, though that's not a bad thing, was them having only six hours to save Brock fro mthe poison. In this story, the crucible was the poison and it made for a dramatic reading.
I had forgotten about Butch and Cassidy, though they always felt just like Jesse and James wanna-bes when they showed up. They acomplished less than J&J ever did and never really garnered the kind of trouble I associated with Team Rocket, but as part of the Red Squad, I think that can change. The scene with Butch holding a knife to Misty's throat was definitely an eye-opener (Reminged me for some reason of that scene in Batman's Hush, where Jason Todd, the second Robin, was revealed and holding a knife to Robin's throat)
The knife itself was more symbolic, because weapons have never had a place in Pokemon. Like DBZ, when a weapon shows up, it's usually only for comedic effect and usually used by Team Rocket to extensive failure, but in this one it held with it the symbol that this is how far the Red Squad would go to get what they want. Like I said, dramatic.
I have to give this one a 5 out of 5. Let's hope Ash gets his seventh badge, not to mention his situation with the girls straightened out. Your turning Pikachu into a human girl and Ash having with Pokemon-like pwoers is still the most inovative thing I've ever read in a fanfic. Good jobs, guys.
