BraellyraLeatherleaf 2004-09-19 . chapter 1This is the conclusion we've all been waiting for...or dreading, because now it *really* is the end. :( Anyway, it was, truly, an amazing ending, and couldn't have been done better.
"Ahh, and you have been near, I'm afraid. Several times I prepared to welcome you, but as always, you found hidden reserves of strength that enabled you to carry on."
But I wonder, what if Frodo *hadn't* made it, and Bramblethron *had* welcomed him? An interesting thing to think about.
Anyway, wonderful, and though I have loved these stories, all good things must come to an end, even if it is difficult to say good-bye. |
spootasia tomoe 2004-09-05 . chapter 1 very nicely done! a fine addition to the bramblethorn series! thank you for that last moment of bramby-ness! |
Mewsette 2004-05-10 . chapter 1 I'm so glad i got a chance to read this. It's quite clear to me that you put a great deal of thought and care into the crafting of this story. The language, the pacing, and the characterization are very good. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was reading some newly discovered chapters by Tolkien. you certainly have talent. Do you write other things? You certainly should go on and do something with your gift, and it is a gift, believe me. |
Leia Wood aka Cascadia 2004-04-26 . chapter 1Nice little fic! :)
(I read all these I've reviewed awhile ago, but wanted to let you know you have another fan of your writing.)

Sam 2004-04-22 . chapter 1 Can't give up Bramblethorn, can you? :) Not that I'm complaining, I love these stories. I really like how even after the Quest, Frodo can still find it in his heart to forgive Bramblethorn. This was just a wonderful story.
You'll post more stories soon I hope? |
hobbitfeet13 2004-04-20 . chapter 1 I'm glad you added this final chapter of Bramblethorn. It makes the whole series tie well with LotR. So many times Frodo came close...ah, well at least Bramblethorn has found some comfort, some sense of peace, though a slight bit late in his life. What fickle things are dreams.
On a random note, I agree with Merry, Frodo won by default. *makes face* That wasn't very fair, but it was clever. :-) I do not think Frodo will be troubled by dreams of Bramblethorn ever again. |
endymion2 2004-04-19 . chapter 1I BET you know exactly what I disliked about this gorgeous fic..the very last three letters...couldn’t the first one of those be a „t“, the second a „b“...
As much as I value that you „revived“ Bramby, I fear that this is really the end now!?
"Ahh, and you have been near, I'm afraid. Several times I prepared to welcome you, but as always, you found hidden reserves of strength that enabled you to carry on."...will they ever meet again, LOL, and if so – when?
As Frodo dreams so vividly of Bramblethorn on his way back...what happened when passing through Bree for the first time after these happenings? |
Trust No One 2004-04-19 . chapter 1How absolutely lovely!! Perfect, perfect closure to 'A Harvest of Ashes'. Creepy as well *good* creepy :) To think that Bramby is waiting for Frodo on the other side, i'm not suprised he sought healing and a longer life in the West. Jokes aside, this was a really moving and perfectly executed stroke of a master. Thank you so much!! TNO |
Stephanie 2004-04-18 . chapter 1 great to see another one of your stories! It was very good. Kinda scary what Bramblethorn said. Can't a poor hobbit get a break? Still love Merry and Pippin, they're so funny. |
Shelbyshire 2004-04-17 . chapter 1What an awesome story. How did you ever think of putting Bramblethorn in a dream at Bree? The idea that Frodo is in both worlds at the same time seems so "real". Very original idea for a story! I loved it... |
 chickloveslotr 2004-04-17 . chapter 1coolie beans great job! |
