Hargiteam42 2008-06-18 . chapter 1Wow! You actually had me tearing up! This was a very good story! |
DianeB 2004-08-19 . chapter 1Found this on the Recs Judicata site and was linked here to read it. What a FABulous story. You brought this character into the "real" world in a sensitive, informative way, yet you still made it a great L&O story. Well done! |
blazerrose 2004-05-25 . chapter 1Great story! You captured the characters' voices well, and the pace is just right for the severity of what she had to face. |
Renee 2004-05-12 . chapter 1 Your story was sensational as usual. The writing was very fluid. |
MissTexan9821 2004-05-07 . chapter 1I love the way you can take the characters, especially Anita, and just throw them into whatever fantastic (non-L&O) world you want to. This was so beautiful and well-written, as always, and I think it's the fourth time I've read it. I had to really decide what I wanted to tell you. ;) Excellent piece.
(And Happy Birthday!) |
Michelle 2004-04-29 . chapter 1 I thought the story was extremely dramatic. I was right there on the edge of my seat with Anita breathlessly waiting to hear the news. The flow from scene to scene was smooth and effective in building the tension. Great job! |
Holly 2004-04-23 . chapter 1 I really enjoyed the way the author told the story jumping back and forth from present to past, so that the reader could share in all the experiences. Although I'm not a huge "fanfic" fan, I am a huge fan of this author. Just awaiting a novel by her in the bookstores. |
 I. F. Jones 2004-04-21 . chapter 1 I love happy endings!! What a timely and truely realistic situation. I have lived the fear of not knowing and completely felt the so true tone of the character's reactions in this piece. |
Keri 2004-04-19 . chapter 1 I have to tell you this, and hope that others see it. A good friend of mine went for her annual mamogram a few years ago, and the technician found a small lump, one my friend couldn't even feel. I don't know if it could be told by the film, that it was very possibly cancer, or if the fact that my friend had lost a sister to breast cancer, made them do a needle biopsy right there on the spot.
She was set up with an oncologist, who did a lumpectomy, and also biopsied her lymph nodes, and when she woke from the surgery, she was told she owed the people where she'd had her mammogram and the needle biopsy, a huge thank you. The needle biopsy got all the cancer...and none was found in her lymph glands. STill, as a precaution, she had to undergo radiation, which made her feel pretty tired and worn out, and has to take tamoxifan, but she's doing fine after nearly 7 years.
Just another reason, to not put off your annual mammogram...and to believe that if caught early, cancer need not put you through difficult treatments or painful disfiguring surgeries. |
Melissa Larkin 2004-04-19 . chapter 1 This was an excellent story! :) |
BlueAngel8341 2004-04-19 . chapter 1 Touching, beautifully written and informative. You covered all the bases here my dear and as always ripped it out of the park. Great going!
I love your style lady! |
