Ah, yes, the many (two?) faces of Eriol and Tomoyo. Expectedly, the plotlines do converge at one point, but really, it's the author's writing style that makes a lot of difference. I think. :D

...that something so OOC can become so accepted that it's a cliche. I mean, Tomoyo jealous of Kaho? Where did *that* come from? She was never jealous of Syaoran, her canonical rival. Or that Tomoyo's characteristic obsession with Sakura can be reduced to merely "optional". And poor, poor Kaho, always bashed by bitter fanbrats for daring to see Eriol as the loving adult and father that he is.

you're definitely DEFINITELY right. ExT FOREVER. the anime doesn't show much of them having "moments", though i can never forget this episode, when they were gonna buy a teddy bear, sakura was walking beside syaoran with tomoyo and eriol behind them.. and they were just smiling at each other (KAWAI! u)

though, in the manga, i've read in volume 11 and 12, there are some more moments which aren't shown in the anime. i call it INTIMACY. eriol told tomoyo that she's a kind person indeed, and tomoyo said that eriol had the kindest eyes. and they just kept on exchanging compliments, or whatsoever you call 'em.

there was such a huge chance.. if not for that damned bitch. that kaho.. whatever. :( she could've stayed with toya! :( she told eriol that she loves him! talk about female michael jacksons!

That was so funny! Especially what you said about Kaho...very tru hehe. Too bad that it is also true that most fics follow a similar plot...I guess it is kind of hard to come up with new ideas, but we there's still hope, after all there must be millions of E&T fics all arounf internet and that if we don't count the ones that are S&S mainly, but still got some E&T in them. Therefore, there will always be new ideas on writers minds...we just need encouragement (hehe)
