I loved the style of this piece, in a narration/retrospective kind of mood. You've written such a conflicted, complicated character. Good job.

It's nice to find a person who also likes Akunadin like I do. It's a shame he doesn't have that many fans...

Anyway. I love this fic. The horror Set felt when seeing him with the Eye was beautifully described, and it's a lengthy fic too. That's an added bones.

It may interest you that I have a fic about Set and Akunadin called Raising Set. It's about how the old priest feels about not being able to be a true father to his son. I would appreciate a review to know what you think.

The whole thing is just morally wrong. Then again. Akunadin can't really be blamed for wanting his son to succeed. But to not be able to pride himself on his son, that's just sad and unnatural. There's one question left. If Akunadin had really revealed his identity, would the more mature Seto cease to resent his father?
