I enjoyed this homage to Mr. Brett very much. It was well written but more, it had a depth of caring and respect that I believe he would have appreciated very much. His portrayal of Sherlock Holmes was amazing, with subtleties that made it so very easy to suspend disbelief and just be carried away with the performance. I'm so very pleased to have had the honor to read this, and I thank you for your time in writing it.

I would have to disagree with you on account of Jeremy Brett being the best Sherlock Holmes, I rather liked Basil Rathbone. But everyone has thier favorites. Good poem!

WONDERFUL! BEAUTIFUL! Can I have your autograph? (just kidding -but only the last bit). This is a very well written and eminently worthy tribute to a man whom I strongly suspect of channeling Holmes' spirit (of course Holmes was real; what are you talking about?!). Come on, his ability to portray H *plus* the excessive smoking and, uh, medication?...either that or he was possessed...or maybe a little too obsessed...like us...uh-oh... Anyway it was so nice to find some actually good poetry on ff.n. I especially enjoyed the rythm and the way it captured Brett (or maybe Holmes?) so well. I loved the whole line about his eyebrow "...like a cat on crack..." perfect. Keep it up! I'd love to see more of your poetry.
