Absolutly brillant satire... You stayed in character and wove a tapestry of humor that left me in stitches. And you know the topper..? The Hotel California referance.

This is my favorite Shrek Fanfic, and the primary inspiration for to me to try my hand at a Shrek Fanfic as well. Gadfly has captured all of the original characters to a "T", and his new characters are perfectly integrated into this seamless continuation of the original story. This is classic Shrek, and Gadfly had done what the Hollywood writers couldn't -- continue telling the original story without the crutch of new, unneccesary lead characters. What a shame this couldn't have been "Shrek 2" instead of what we were offered.

Wow. This story has absolutely everything- microwaves, quidditch, pop culture, fairy tales, stogies, references to "Lilliputian," comedy, drama, politics- you're the reigning champion in the Shrek genre. You deserve all praise this story attracts- this is just plain amazing, and I hope you continue to write. I'll start reading the next one when I have time to read this in one sitting. I'll definitely recommend these stories- when my friends and I quote Shrek for no particular reason, I know they'd love these stories just as much as I do.

Hi Jim, it's just me. I'm just putting this story into my favorites. Because of the fact that I loved this story and it's sequel since before I became an author, I think it's rather nice to be able to put such a wonderful work of literary art where I can read it anytime. So that's basically all I'm here for.

This story is completely hilarious! The three principles (Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey.) are completely in character! You should write a lot more Shrek stories! You are SO GOOD!

I love it! Keep up the good work. You should write some more fics about them. Maybe you should write some lemon fics about them.

Wow. That's my honest first reaction. I'm writing this well after having finished the story, but I just wanted to let you know that I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning just to finish this, despite work hours that required me to wake ungodly early. Your sotry is fantastic. It's packed full of action, wit, and heart. The set up that you picked (between the kisses) is absolutely perfect. I'm impressed by the villian you created out of the captain of the guards (the only one really left who could be believeably malacious) and the way you created other characters that not only fit the tone of the movie but moved your plot as well. I knew this would go on my favorite stories list when you added the "are you pondering what I'm pondering" joke. Also, your way of handling the prose as well as the dialoge feels tailor made to the world of Shrek. I can visualise the actions you describe in that specific "Shrek-style" animation. Also, you wrote every character's speech exactly as they would speak it, but with the readability that is often lost when accents are translated to text. Well, I think I've said enough for a supposedly short review. Bravo! I'm honestly and happily impressed!

I am utterly amazed. That was the most invigorating, interesting, hilarious, and adorable stories I have ever read. I can't even express how wonderful that was. It was so exciting that I just couldn't stop reading it, and it was incredibly clever. Personally, I liked this story as much if not more than either of the movies. I simply adored every aspect of this. This is definitely one of the greatest fanfics I have read... ever.. Thanks so much for this:) I loved it!

Goodness, you certainly have ambition. :) Never thought anyone would write such a damn long story on Shrek, but kudos to you for being the first. ^_^ Can't wait to read the rest of this...

I think this was a very well constructed and thought out fic dealing with what we saw between the scene in the church and the wedding at the Swamp. I really liked how you caught onto the little details of the movie (such as the Mama Bear rug). Keep on writing your great fics!
BTW: one thing I haven't quite figured out from Shrek is how did Snow White wake up. How was 'the dead chick' on Shrek's table get to the point where she and Cinderella were getting into a fight. Maybe that's an idea for a fic!

What can I say? It's the thinking man's (or woman's) SHREK fanfic -- and still my favorite.
