Wow this is ironic! I don't know if it was intended to be taken in this manner, but it was ironic because Combeferre's untimely demise was because he had three sharp bayonets shoved through his chest when still living.

I read this a long time ago, and have come back to reread it. May I say that this story is so funny. I'm trying not to wake my mom up with my laughter...
