Ouch. Poor Sakaki.

One word: wow. This story is just perfect for Sakaki's character. We all know that he's a rookie and a magnet for injuries, but who woulda thunk about what goes on inside his head? Again, this is one of THE best WHR fics out there. Must fave.

Butt-Karma, lovely thought...though, in the end, that's Sakaki for you...

I'd say flawless...but we both know that's impossible, but you get credit for coming so damn close.

A good sidepiece to go along with “Telekinetic”, and to provide that direct insight to motivation and character you can’t always express in third person, or in a dialogue where the need to save face and prop up a strong self-image shut off communication of your true self. This actually fits in very well with chapter 9, where Sakaki reveals his memory loss, and provides reinforcement to why he approaches his life with an unconcerned attitude - all this trauma frightens him so much that he tunes it all out; the fast-paced action of the hunt is Haruto's version of Michael's headphones: a distraction to keep himself from dwelling on what a terrible situation he is trapped within.
The ending is both humorous and sad, (but leaning towards humor, as I read it) - after all Sakaki has vented in his monologue, he really hasn’t changed or made any commitment to grow – “I don’t wanna think about it,” is still his answer.

Great little tidbit. Very Sakaki-ish. n.n Nothing like idetifying with what may *really* be the cause of poor Haruto's reason for bad luck. Karma is never a good thing u.u;; The little bit that I loved the most was when Sakaki referred to karma as being attached, not just biting at him. Hee hee, I can imagine some little furry creature to symbolize karma attached to him. xD I'm sure Amon would love that.

I loved your use of "karma" to bind the piece together. The first half felt a little too introspective for Sakaki, but the second half was fantastic. You have a gift for short, pithy sentences that say exactly what they need to, and no more.

Spooky. I love the mix of masochism, adrenaline junky behavior, and massive guilt that keeps being swept up under the rug. All rolled into a nice ball of I-hate-myself-and-this-place-but-I-stay-cause-I'm-a-junky angst.
The comment about Miho worrying about her crzft and the team and anything else was very telling, as were his thoughts on Michael.
