Moon Ecstasy 2009-08-12 . chapter 1YES! YES! A Golden Trio-some! If there's one thing I love almost as much as I love Harry/Ron it's Harry/Ron/Hermione! Be it close friendship or love of the more lusty kind. The reason why I hate, hate, HATE it when people have Hermione or Ron betray Harry (not that I don't read and enjoy those stories, just that it makes me feel horribly sad).
This was excellent.
...
And you know I didn't realize until I read this story, just how many fictions you've written that I've favourited. I never really put it together that they were all done by the same author. Which means you rock even more than I first thought you did. YOU ROCK!
Ahem, yeah, so...
Cheers!! |
Seishuru Magni 2009-05-01 . chapter 1Hahaha, very nice. Went completely different than what I expected, a pleasant experience. Thanks. |
WisdomWriter25 2009-04-01 . chapter 1I have really enjoyed all of your Harry Potter stories including this one. I found this story a little heart wrenching, and liked it alot. I do hope you write a sequel as I would like to find out what happens to the trio, there family and friends reactions, and how Harry manages with the coldness and the now greater fame he has. I hope you write many more Harry Potter stories soon, and thank you for writing. |
RhythmAndBeat 2009-02-14 . chapter 1Such a good story. It was an interesting look into Harry's take on the prophesy, while being nowhere near as angsty as i suspected. Of course the three of them together at the end was wonderful, although I'll admit to being surprised by the happy ending but you pulled it of in a way that only your writing style could. Needless to say i really enjoyed this, thank you. |
 abraxis 2008-08-22 . chapter 1Excellent. I'm looking forward to the sequel. |
Flanclanman 2008-07-06 . chapter 1Fantastic story, I absolutely loved it.
Aww, the trio |
Alorkin 2008-07-05 . chapter 1An excellent fic. I can easily see how Harry, with all the pain in his life, would see himself as a weapon to be used and then discarded. I am in the middle of writing something like this but I chose a more militant tack.
His avoiding his friieds is only a logical chooice, given his thoughts. Ron is more upset and like always, is quick to judge.
Harry's animagus transformation took a slighter role than I would have expected. You only mentioned it a couple times.
Dumbledore's look of shock when Harry challenges him, was an interesting switch. Up until then, everything Harry knew, everything he thought led him to the conclusion that he was being trained as a tool and nothing more. Apparently this was not the case, for Dumbledore's reaction was that of a man who'd just been kicked in the...belly.
I wonder how Harry was able to escape the headmaster's tower. During the end of OotP, Dumbles locked him in, why not now?
-
The aftermath was most interesting, if a bit dreary. Harry is still suffering the effects of the two failed killing curses, and appears to be on the edge of death throughout the entirety of the last two terms. The invidious cold seems to be sapping his spirit as well as his body. I was expecting him to drop dead at any minute. (and you set up several occasions where it would be entirely reasonable for him to do just that.)
-
The last part was a real surprise. Unfortunately, threesomes rarely last. Usually because of dominance tendencies between the males. (Sucks, but there it is.) There are several good stories along this theme, but they are the exception. Harry is the alpha, bt Ron has the claim on Hermione. This would end up in a fight sooner than later.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading 'Dumbledore's Weapon' and will recommend it to my friends.

crism1976 2008-02-10 . chapter 1You made me cry. But I ended the story with happy tears, so I guess I have to forgive you.
Dumbledore's Weapon indeed. The sad thing is, it didn't really require any misinterpretation on Harry's part.
Very nicely done! Thanks for sharing the story. And thanks for ending on a positive note! *smile* |

vannadear 2007-08-08 . chapter 1First off I have to commend you, your Harry Potter stories are fantastically well written; so much in fact that I have read all of them once already and decided to write reviews on my second time around. I normally don't pay attention to the amount of reviews a story has; many stories on have over a thousand reviews are frankly, horrendous to read.
"Dumbledore's Weapon" is pretty sad, I like the mental place you've got Harry into, and his views on his own situation. It's actually sort of maudlin; like he's truly lost the innocent boy that trusted in adults, and Sirius' death was the gateway to that conclusion. As much as I love Hedwig, her death fit so perfectly into the storyline that I couldn't even try to be upset about it. The Isolation and despair are palatable; Harry re-teaching himself and exercising for his ultimate goal- it's all very mature, very realistic, and it's such a fresh take on the subject (i.e. Harry doesn't become a kung-fu master in a week) I also love the dream scape into becoming Prowler, very nicely done! The Trio relationship is such a comfort towards the end! I'm so happy with your Ron/Harry ficlets that I was worried at first when I saw hints of the trio relationship, but you pulled it off so well that I might pursue more of the same genre.
I loved this story so much, Keep writing HP fics please!!?! |
