Wow! Well written indeed! I have to read the Scarlet Letter for school, and I actually don't mind it, it's a very interesting book. I loved your "prequel" of sorts. :D

Holy crap, Scarlet Letter fanfiction. So few people like this book; it's sad how they force it on people in high school, since it's really worth reading and very funny once you get into Hawthorne's style.

Anyway, very well-written, and if not evocative of Hawthorne's writing style - which is damn hard to emulate, I've tried - then it certainly captures his characters. Nicely done!

Oh, my dear dear dear Moria...You had my breath captured every moment. You were discreet yet still implied passion and undying love, and you seem to have captured the air of Nathaniel himself. It was a perfect beginning to the tragic story. I was so glad you wrote it because I had to find a way to grasp Hester Prynne's character without coming off in the right way. The actor playing Arthur Dimmesdale was so impressed with the way I played her...thanks to you. Nora

You are an absolutely incredible writer. You have a keen eye for the visuals in the story, and your characters talk like... well... themselves.

I'm impressed. Good fanfic of any sort is rare. This is a true gem among the good fanfics out there. I remember being captivated by the Scarlet Letter, and can only say that this is an excellent "prequel," if you will.
