Joe's girl 2006-09-08 ch 1,	abuseI just happened to come across this and read it. It was wonderful. I really liked how you answered all of those unanswered questions that were raised by the fact that Chappelle does wear a wedding ring and the book lists wife and children. That always bothered me, but I have to admit I didn't put much effort into thinking it our. They did the same thing in season 5 with Karen Hayes. She wears a wedding ring but then Bill asks her out in the last episode. Unless they are suggesting that Bill likes to hit on married women, there needs to be an explanation. I was so bothered by that that I ended up writing an explanation into one of my stories like to did here just to give myself some closure. (I know. I really need to get a life!) ANyway, good story. Glad I found it.

I always noticed the ring and thought, "good golly, how could anyone be married to him?" Interesting twist with the family. I liked how his kids have made their work their lives, just like their dad. Hope you write more.

You write everyone's guilt very well. It's a shame that when it comes to funerals there is so much of it left over. Thanks for sharing.
