I love Lupin's dig at Snape right in the beginning - ("Despite my lycanthropy, Severus," came Lupin's voice coolly, "I have maintained a healthy body and a positive mindset. I will not allow myself to become a galling, loveless, crusty man." He paused. " Like you.") For someone who doesn't much like confrontation, you write it amazingly well.

I think you've definitely got some of JK's style in there. Everyone is also very IC, which is always a good thing. I'll have to read more later to see how this turns out.
