::shiver:: Ooh, that sent chills up my spine. T_T That was so sad! When I first got to the flashback, I thought she was going to get killed by some monster - that's what everyone does, after all. But this was so different! In a way, it's even worse for Isaac than if she really was gone.

That was really, really, good. I could have sworn I read this when you first put it out - I remember it caught my eye - but I guess not. The dramatic impact there, at the end of the flashback and at the end of the story, was really something. Great job! _

Anyway. Nice one-shot, looking at a "what if..." situation. However, part of me feels like this could also be a multi-chapter fanfic. Then again, it would be highly predictable, but I guess it's always, and ultimately, the author's choice.

Also, just something I noticed: "'Who are you?'" - Seems a tad over/melo-dramatic to me... but, to each his own. Good job, Omniflyer. You just reminded me why you're on my favorite list.
